High Bridge Trail State Park
High Bridge Trail State Park is a 31-mile long multi-use trail, ideal for hiking bicycling and horseback riding. As suggested the historical High Bridge is the highlight of this park, being over 2,400 feet long and 125 feet above the Appomattox RIver. Once a part of South Side Railroad and the center of one of the last battles of the Civil War, this historic bridge is now part of Virginia's newest state park.
