It was also the site of the Wayside School, one of the many one-room school houses that were in operation in Cumberland Co. in the late 1800's. Pictured below are two students in front of the school, Easter Sunday 1906. The school was later moved to the site of Hamilton High School in the 1930's, where it remains today.
